PVR150 stopped working suddenly

Hey everyone, this is driving me completely mad.

My DVR has been working fine until recently. The past few days when I have tried to record something, the resulting file is corrupt and of a questionably small size (50meg for a 1 hour program that would normally be 2gigs).

So I look into it, and LiveTV won't work, just a black screen. I load up the crappy WinTV2000 app, and it doesn't work either. No channels are setup in it, but everytime I autoscan - it locks up when I click OK (It scans through 125 channels and seems to add them ok).

I'm not even sure where to start. Did my PVR150 go belly up?

I REALLY don't want to reload the drivers, it was such a freaking beyotch to set this thing up just the way I liked it . But looks like I'll need to give this a shot. Was just checking here if anyone had any other ideas.

I've thougth hard about what I might have changed recently that screwed this up. I installed the newest GBPVR, and I've been messing with the DVD settings alot trying to get the 5.1 passthrough to work (still having issues). I also ran some Windows Updates, but this was several weeks ago.

You should try reinstalling the 150 driver then reboot the machine. Same thing happened to mine last night? Worked fine after that. Good luck.

I don't remember the older version I was running before last night, but I installed the latest driver pvr150_500_2043_24103.exe from http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/support/s...vr150.html

Just to follow-up if anyone runs into this problem...

I re-installed the driver - no change. So then I completely removed the old drivers (actually pulled the card out of the PC), installed the new drivers, and works like a charm. Incidently, this newest driver was the one I was already using before. Not sure how it got jacked up...

I just need to re-configure the Hauppauge settings, I don't remember what they were set at :|.
