Did you upgrade the client shortcut to the new location? C:\Program Files\NextPVR\client\NextPVR.exe it is still available you don't need the web player.

There was pain, I'll say that. Most quirky setup of any app yet. I didn't see anything about upgrading the client shortcut to the new location. I'll check out the link, thank you so much.
Thank you to everyone who responded, you helped a LOT. For anyone upgrading late, this is what I learned. Yes, it is an easier install - but only if you've never installed it before. The wiki was somewhat helpful, but could've been clearer.
Here's what I didn't expect: The channel and device settings (the nuts and bolts of getting programming) is now web based. I had Schedules Direct already, so that was helpful, and worth every penny. The other thing that I didn't expect was that the recording service was built in. There's no little icon to click on to start the recording service after you reboot. It's just there. I was so confused with this install because of those two things. I did have to change every channel to my Schedules Direct programming, so know that you may have to do that. They're probably an easier way, but I'm only using it for broadcast channels, so there weren't too many. But we're up and running, recordings are scheduled, and I can safely update all my Kodi clients to 21. Yippee!! So, thank you again for your time and help!
