Re Radio downloads...
smiler Wrote:I think that might be a version 3 feature, I am trying to think of a good way to integrate the resulting mp3 in to GBPVR. Could just put it in the music library, but you will lose the meta data.Maybe dump the metadata in an xml file - I'm quite happy to do my own ID3 tagging. Alex

Smiler, many thanks for a great plugin - it's made for domestic harmony (well, sort of!), and has been exactly what we've been looking for.
One thing though - the search bar seems to do odd things with numbers. Typing in from the row of numbers above the main keys results in not numbers but letters. This happens with the attached keyboard (attached via wireless but YKWIM), and if I access via VNC, and it doesn't happen in other apps so it can't be a region setting or the like. Any thoughts?

..and another odd issue: iPlayer-downloaded files under GBPVR have no audio. But if I play them using any other player (eg VLC) on the same computer, the audio works. Other MPEG files have audio as normal.
Why should this be?

Thanks glad it is useful Quote:One thing though - the search bar seems to do odd things with numbers. Typing in from the row of numbers above the main keys results in not numbers but letters. This happens with the attached keyboard (attached via wireless but YKWIM), and if I access via VNC, and it doesn't happen in other apps so it can't be a region setting or the like. This is because the control is intended to support remote controls which have aloha numeric keys. This means that to get a number on a keyboard you need to press the same number multiple times. Quote:..and another odd issue: iPlayer-downloaded files under GBPVR have no audio. But if I play them using any other player (eg VLC) on the same computer, the audio works. Other MPEG files have audio as normal. This is likely a codec issue on your machine. Standard mpeg files captured from DVB-T, support MPG 2 audio which is likely to have been installed on your machine. VLC uses inbuilt audio and video codecs so does not require them to be installed in windows. To save space I compress the audio using MP3, this means the mp3 audio codec is not installed on your machine. I suggest you get the Lame codec from http://www.free-codecs.com and install it. This should hopefully fix you issue if not just let me know and i will investigate further.

I've only recently come to this after manually using the windows version of get_iplayer from http://linuxcentre.net/getiplayer/ So still being able to grab other than BBC shows with your plugin would be nice |
