As far as I know Txvb fetches data from Dagenstv which has a limited number of channels and no HD channels. If I could find a grabber that was able to get data from VG's tv-guide it would solve the problem (example: http://www.vg.no/tv-guide/#d=2010-01-26)...

I have also used TVxb in the past. Good program but you need a site with the relevant information to grab it. Sorry to hear that MC2XML does not work for you. I still suggest to look further into the EPG possibilities of TVSource.

OrakelJos Wrote:You should take a look on DVBLogic TVSource Beta 2.0!
It wraps up to 4 virtual dvb-s tuners around 4 physical tuners (dvb-c/t/s/). Each tuner can have its own decryption method and you can select which channels are passed on to the appplication i.e. WMC, GBPVR, MP etc. Multidec support on a single tuner is promised but not implemented yet.
There is now also a small tool which creates a transponder list for each of the tuners. Only problem is that GBPVR is not able to read the channelname in the scan because it is in unicode. I had to change the channelnames in the scan-x.cache to the real names.
This behaviour is already posted to sub.
I am using it in a test rig with News 1.65 and Acamd 6.18. It only needs acamd in the plugin folder for each of the tunercards (so multiple instances with unique usernames/passwords). MDapifilter or other plugins are NOT required. Channel changes are quick and reliable and everything works as advertised. If Sub would be able to build in such a behaviour in GB-PVR it would be a killer Big Grin
BTW: the program is now in beta and therefore free for 21 days. After final release it will cost approx. 29 euro incl. TVA.

Yep, works great! Indeed the channelname is messed up, but when that's fixed in the next release, GBPVR and DVBLink 2.0 make a pretty good team.

One of the other advantages is that it seems more reliable. With a real HW Cam (Alphacrypt) directly under GBPVR there are many recordings which just don't succeed. With TVSource and softcam it just works every time (cross fingers). Perhaps GBPVR seems to have problems with starting the decryption. Command is issued to the CI but is not always succesfull.
This was posted by me in another thread but Sub could not find anything unusual in the logs.

Yesterday I installed the 3 DVB-C cards (TechnoTrend C-1501) in my WHS server together with DVBLink TVSource V2 (beta), NewCS 1.65 and Acamd 0618. I merged the channels in DVBLink from 3 physical tuners to 3 virtual tuners and used DVBlinkChExportTool to generate the 3 transponder files for GBPVR.
As mentioned in one of my previous postings: GBPVR does not recognise the channel names at this moment so I edited manually one of the cache-xx.ini files and copied it over for the 2nd and 3rd tunercard because the stations are all the same on the 3 cards. At the moment I am loading EPG data from a XMLTV file but will test the possibilities of importing EPG data from the dvb-c card.
I can now confirm that all 3 tuners are happily making decrypted SD and HD recordings at the same time Big Grin
Chris: as you are aware I am on Ziggo Wink

Great! But I'm also very curious about the MDAPI changes in the next release that sub mentioned. I'm hoping you won't need dvblink anymore. Don't you just love those litle teasers from sub Big Grin

Oh yes, if that is realy working I don't need dvblink anymore bit now I just wanted those 3 dvb-c tuners running because I could no longer stand the quality or better said the lack of quality of analogue recordings.
I replaced my Humax 5000C for a 5050C (with harddisk recorder) so we are a little bit spoiled Big Grin
The Humax is just used to pause and replay live TV or to make a recording on the spot as we see a nice show and had forgotten to program it in GBPVR.
All the rest and the season recordings are done with GBPVR because that is the only way we can view the recordings with the popcorn extenders on the TV's.

BTW: where did Sub mention something about MDAPI in the next release? Could not find it or do you have some inside knowledge?
