After reviewing prior posts, figured I'd copy the pandoraradio default skin into the Blueretro skin folder. It now shows within settings and is configurable. Think I learned something new!!

Again thanks for your comment as it reminded me that I needed to update the wiki page to include these instructions for non supported plugins (up until fairly recently it had skins for all the plugins)

One suggestion for testing newly installed plugins or versions of NextPVR it is always best to go back to the Default skin until you have everything working right & then after that go back to BRVE+

Such a good point.. But how to describe that in a wiki plug in support page should be noted, with another wiki link describing the functionality and non... what to look at, how to figure it out.., etc.... this applies to everything! How can we make this simpler? It was enlightening for me to discover that the skin required it's own plug in skins from outside of the default group.

This has all been confusing, but such fun, and kick ass!

I design my plugins to run from Default when not found. I'm not a fan of copying since when I make changes, it breaks the copied skin.

I do this too, but do you have any suggestions on the best way to handle updates to a plugin's skin when a non-default skin already supports it? In that situation, the code finds a match in the other skin's folder, but the files won't support the changes. I guess you could start embedding version numbers in the files, and falling back to default again if you don't find what you expect. Fiddly though.

And thanks Jaggy for the recent update that (re)adds support for System. Much appreciated!

I have just installed the Blueretro v+ skin as it looks fab but I am having problems with the System plugin crashing and I cant get the tv listings to open without getting an unhandled exception with error" Null Value" Brush!. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I have looked at the log file which I have attached and can see a number of errors. One to do with not finding the correct fonts and tv listing deactivated. Any help much appreciated.

Thanks for the comment , it was my first attempt at a skin for NextPVR & "I" have since moved onto JustRetro for my personal use but I am still updating BRVE+ when I remember....... (or get asked to)

I don't think I have updated BRVE+ for the latest version of TV Listings yet so that will be what is causing these errors.

I have just had a look at doing an update but it isn't just a five minute job as I have supplied a number of different options for it..... seeing as no one else has reported any error (or asked for an update since TV Listings 3.6.x was released) I am going to assume not many BRVE+ users are using it & I will reduce the BRVE+ options for it to make my life easier...... I will post an update for it in this thread as soon as I get it finished.

OK I have finally found some time to do this update (sorry for the delay)

If you now check out the http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...lueRetroVE page on the wiki there is a (v3.7bUpdate) download which should fix this error for TV Listings v3.6.x

I will be doing a full skin update for BRVE+ which will include these updates in the main installer sometime shortly after sub releases 2.5.x

I decided as I use a lot of BRVE+ in my JustRetro skin I would give a bit of JustRetro back to BRVE+.... so there is now the option of using the JustRetro (default) colour picture MainMenu & I have updated the way the setup batch files work which allows for better option additions, (on updates/ running more than once) it should now also remember your last selection for that item & prompt you with it when running the setup batch files.
