MVP reboots on LiveTV and Video playback (96.12)

Other recorded MPG files play back fine, so my guess is that it is something to do with the format that GBPVR is currently recording in, both for recording and for Live TV buffering. Looking in my recording folder, it seems to be dvr-ms files (same as the Media Center files) - doesn't GBPVR usually record in MPG?

It'll only record .mpg files if you've set it to use the Cyberlink mux, and have it installed. You should do this if you have an MVP, as .dvr-ms files need to be converted on the fly to .mpg, and you lose some of the benefits of native .mpg files.

That's what I have it set to - in playback, my video decoder is Cyberlink video/sp decoder and in Misc, the BDA Multipexer is Cyberlink. Anything else I need to change? Do you think this might be something to do with the problem on the MVP? Is there anything else specific that I need to adjust?

I am still getting dvr-ms files even though I've set the multiplexer to Cyberlink. Seems if I could get this to mpg I might be OK.

I'm stuck!! I've got POwer DVD installed, which I presume is why I can choose that option, but its still giving me dvr-ms files on Live TV buffer and recordings!

I'm using latest 97 version btw.

I think I read somewhere that config shows all muxes, that doesn't necessarily mean they are installed. If the cyberlinkmux is installed, maybe get a newer version or try to reregister it (if that is possible).

Not really sure how I would do that - do I just download the latest version of poer dvd? How do i register the decoder?

Cheers all of you - got it working - downloaded the driver from TwinHam and registered filter, chose Cyberlink - job done!!
