Jeff, I must say your frequent updates of the testversion is very appreciated and I have now almost all the functionality you can ask for in a video/recordings manager. However, I am still missing the download of @director which prevents me from correcting the db for some incorrect lookups (mostly swedish and other not so known movies which are not found). This is because i dont want to redo that work when doing a fresh db with all the info downloaded.

Also as a feature request I would like that movies with D1, disc1 and disk1 is titled with the Disc info in the movie title as part 2 and part 3 are. I.e., Instead of "Godfather" and "Godfather Disc2" it should be "Godfather Disc1" and "Godfather Disc2". As this only improves the sorting it should be considered a cosmetic request.

The plug-in will now attempt to extract a jpeg image from recordings using FFMPEG to use as the poster image for TV recordings or DVDs if one is not found via the Internet lookup. The images should appear within a few minutes of navigating into a directory that currently does not have images.

This is very very cool, as I live in a place where there are not so many shows that are on the standard databases. May I ask where the images go, as I use XRecord, which I understnad has a different structure? I don't use Videoarchive much to be honest, just the archiving facility after 14 days (for me), but would also install it for the poster image function.

If the Xrecord folks (fla?) are reading this, would a similar function be possible for XRecord on standalone basis?

I have not "officially" released it as the final, but from my perspective it is more stable than the version that is released and what I've been using at home for many months now. I'll probably rename it as final some time this weekend.

This version fixes various bugs reported in the previous test release (although I may not have gotten them all and may have introduced new ones). It also includes a periodic check of the wiki site to see if a newer version has been posted, so you will receive a popup message when an update is posted.

Also, in this version I have rewritten the way the list of pending shows is managed by the commongbpvrutilities.dll library to use less memory. The changes are not backwards compatible, so if you use the showsearch plug-in you'll need an update to it as well. A new version of show search is included with this test release.

I hate to steal features from other plugins, but the SuperSimpleArchive has a nice idea I was looking for. It would be nice if I could select a recording and have it moved to the DVD section for permanent archiving. Except, I don't expect the recording data to persist.

I live by the VA plugin.
