sassari v0.1 released - 16:9-skin

i just installed the lastest sassari skin. there is an error on line 246 in the

/archive/list view skin.png

where there is a quote missing around task.png.

Sassari is probably the skin with the most excellent graphics ever made.
The images are so well crafted. Believe me, I have seen all the skins there is to see.
I tweaked the Sassari main menu, because there where nothing good on TV tonight,
Here is a suggestion to a vertical composition.
I will not publish any XML files, it's just a suggestion to Dottore.

looks like you are using a 4:3-screen, you should use nuoro instead of sassari. thanks for the kind words, i'll have a look at a vertical menu the next days.

here's a vertical menu. just unpack the skin.xml file and copy it to gbpvr\skin\Sassari\main menu\

maybe i will include this menu in the official release on the wiki one day.

Without looking at it, I'd say I'll like it That's the only thing that's been a downside with sassari for me - too "few" items visible at the same time on the main menu... I can never remember if I should go to the left or to the right in order to find the shortest way to item X...

I was wondering if you could post the source files for the buttons. I've been tweaking sassari to look a bit more like olbia and I'm trying to make glossy black buttons that stand out on my black background. I attached a sample of what my main screen looks like. Thanks for your time and another great skin!

just download the psd-file from the wiki-page. you'll need a new photoshop-version, the buttons are smart objects. just double-click them and you can change the color.

hey, let me know if you make a better standard button (wide), I could use it, due to that limitation of the recordings plugin.

uh, I got a nice looking 9 channel TV guide now, I Just have to work on the OSD (update it to look like the current version) then I will post my red version, I have given up on skinning musiclibrary2 for now, I am no good at skinning. speaking of new skins, is the youtube plugin skinned yet?

if anyone is waiting on the edge of their seat for my red version, please let me know. it will give me a good reason to get my work finished
