sub, the interesting thing is the first channel is displayed always, even if i change to it from a channel that is not being displayed. There are some channels that are always displayed in gbpvr and a lot of others where I always get the no signal message. I wonder if it is some quirk in the channel database!

Can you see if the attached patch helps? I'm not sure it will, but I did find and fix a bug that could have been the cause.

seems to be working now, some channels take a little more time to change to than others, but seem to be working now. will continue to test and post results.
Is there someway I can empty the channel database and do a fresh scan? each time I scan, the previous results are included and it becomes difficult to weed out the duplicates since there are several unknown channels. It would be great if there is a channel database editor, there might be one, I am pretty new to gbpvr so still trying to learn the ropes!

Probably the easiest way is to delete gbpvr.db3, and copy empty.db3 to gbpvr.db3, effectively starting from an empty database.

seems to be working great now. I haven't had a chance to test everything, will run detailed tests this weekend. I am trying to sort through the channel scans and assign names to different unknown channels first.

I can think of one thing that could be the cause of your unknown channels, but I've been a bit busy with other stuff today so havnt had a chance to have a look.
