Tried it out, works well. The only issue I have had is that it errors out when music scanner runs.

Music scanner successfully scans and adds in all my music, but when it gets to the coverart or MD5 hash or something like that it hangs.

The result is the plugin works, but no art.

Logs attached.

I can see this in the logs
2008-11-09 17:33:53.420 INFO [1] Error occuered when picking out the mediafiles from the all files found. Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
2008-11-09 17:33:53.420 INFO [1] Error in CoverArtFiles checker. Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
2008-11-09 17:33:53.420 INFO [1] Error occured when dealing with C:\BLA\HA\DA\KA\SA

Seems like C:\BLA\HA\DA\KA\SA has something the MusicScanner doesn't like?
What can it be?
Best Regards

That is really weird.

I will check that directory, never heard of it before. If it doesn't look necessary I will delete it.

Thanks!

There is no such directory on my PC. I am just going to delete the Music.db3 file and rescan. Will that do it?

If not take a look at the Music.db3.

Anything wrong there?

No directory information is stored in the database.
MusicScanner read directories from config.xml.
Check you config.xml file or open config.exe and check your music directories. The Music Scanner does not expect non existing or empty directories, that probably why it can't continue.
Thats the best tip I can give.....

My config is attached. There is only one directory (D:\Music).

Should I uninstall/reinstall?

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

I have asked Bekken to have a look at your strange problem....that no one else has reported.
But I suggest that you delete your music.db3
Download the music plugin I just uploaded.
If that doesn't fix your problem....start checking your folder.jpg images so there is no corrupt jpg file.

Yea, I am thinking there is some issue on my end given no one else has an issue like this.

Could it be my music? I noticed I have a number of albums that have very strange characters in the artist and album tag. The albums are latin and originally had spanish characters like the n with the tilde (~) over it. Now in the place of the spanish characters there is a series of strange characters like the trademark sign (That circular symbol) and other things. Is that affecting the database or the lookup? The music plugin throws the error when it gets to a step called "creating md5 hash" or something like that.

I am betting the issue is my music. It has to be the plugin is great.
