sassari v0.1 released - 16:9-skin

i have uploaded a new version of nuoro and sassari. the only changes are a glossy overlay in the youtube-screen and a bit more "glossiness" for the main menu. and a change to the gloss-overlay itself. i think it looks much better now, but others may think nothing has changed.

it isn't worth mentioning it on the wiki. who knows, maybe some of you see the difference

yeah, it was kinda tough figuring out exactly why it was scaling so weird. read a few posts back, I explained the problem.

you should probably notice some changes in the recordings and netradio skins as well, since they suffered from a similar problem

I've been looking for a widescreen-skin that fits my needs for quite some time now - seems the search is over.

Ok, I know I'm not crazy - that's where I've been looking...and it's updated now! I was on a new PC, so I know it wasn't a cache. Strange...

Hi all,

I'm a bit stuck at trying to display channel icons on the EPG-screen with their correct aspect ratio (ca. 4:3). At the moment, they seem to be a bit distorted.
How can I accomplish this ? I browsed through the .xml-files, but none of the parameter seemed to indicate being relevant. :confused:
Any help appreciated !

look at the red version, I think I got them about correct there.

if you want to do it yourself, you will have to adjust the height of the channels or the width of the guide. there is no way to edit the way the icons are displayed separately

I just tried the new skins and it looks like they don't work (either regular or the red). Everything works fine the the default blue skin (but doesn't look so nice on 16x9 hdtv).

So, I deleted any existing sassari skins and extracted both sassari skins into the skins folder. If I set gbpvr to use either one I get a Java (i think) error about a missing file. I looked in the "mainmenu\skin.xml" and found the following line [filename="_res\main_btn_g.png"]. I think this should have a "..\res" at the begging, so I fixed it.

I then tried to start sassari (regular) again and got another "file not found" error. I looked in the _res folder and sure enough, this .png is missing. I opened an old version of sassari (v.10) and extracted the file. Now the regular version works fine (sorta). But I tried the same thing with the red, and gbpvr just quits with no error (or anything).

As a last ditch effort I tried starting with sassari .10 and extracting the red over that, but it did the same thing (nothing, gbpvr doesn't even start, just a quick hourglass).

As a final note, I also checked for an issue reported a few pages back. In line 245 of /archive/list view skin.png where there is a quote missing around task.png.
