I am looking to get an HVR 2250, i just recently discovered that Comcast has a bunch of SD channels as well as the local HD channels in the clear now, so its time to get some more tuners.

My server is running XP sp3 and thats where the card will be going. As i will only be using this for QAM should i expect some issues, i currently have a hauppage hvr 1600 and a 950Q that work flawlessly.
HTPC Server: 2.3gh AMD Quad 9600, 4GB ram, 320gb HDD, 1TB HDD, and 750GB External USB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce 8600gt, Win 7 (32bit), (2x) HVR2250 using QAM

Client: AM2 5600, biostar 790GX (onbard HD3300), 4gb memory, Vista, LM remote mapping app, Acer Revo R3610 (Atom N330) Win 7, 785G (HD 4200), Win 7, 4gb ram

Sub,

Just got a 2250 in addition to a 1600 which was working just fine before. After installing the 2250 with drivers and WinTV7 I'm unable to see any channels in the mapping scan. I downloaded qam.ini manager and tried using frequencies (regular and center) instead of channel numbers, but the result is the same, no channels show up. Mapping with WinTV7 finds channels just fine, and analog on both is working fine. How do I get my digital channels back? Thanks, as always, for the help.

Yours truly,

Phil/TW

Do a scan, the zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll see if anything stands out.

Here are the logs after scanning with the 2250 channel numbers 70-138.

Thanks,

Run ReRegisterFilters.bat then try again.

Ran command line as administrator then ran the re-register .bat file, all appeared to re-register properly. Running scans yields same results, new logs attached.

Thanks,

The logs show its still not registered.

Try manually reregistering PsiParser.ax from cmd.exe started with 'run as administrator.

regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\PsiParser.ax"
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\PsiParser.ax"

The file was renamed in my gbpvr directory (psiparser.ax.bak) from when I was trying a version you updated. renaming it then re-registering it fixed it and I'm now seeing channels.

Thanks so much for the help, your work and your support is incredible and it's why I came back from mythbuntu.

sub,

2250 is now working but the 1600 refuses to work in gbpvr. Note, it worked before in gbpvr and was my only tuner, and both are working and tuning channels in wintv. Here are the logs from a scan with the 1600. What do you think?

Thanks,

Phil/TW
