ok, well since the width of the channel icons is not adjustable it leaves you with a choice.

1) correct channel icon aspect ratio and small text so you can have 2 full lines of text per listing
2) incorrect channel icon aspect ratio and larger text with 2 full lines of text in per listing
3) correct channel icon aspect ratio and large text so you can have 1.5 (ish) lines of text per listing

if you choose 3 just use the larger text size for the EPG text with the default skin, and leave everything else the way it was. 1 and 2 you have already done.

if you want 2 I would suggest you grab the guide background and settings for the skin from the original sassari (if you dont want to I can do it for you)

I just figured out why I couldn't find the new sassari files in the wiki. It is because the link on the first post in this thread is no longer current! If you look it is pointing to I guess an old version of the sassari entry. If you go to the wiki via http://www.gbpvr.com you find that the new version is under a \skin-16x9\sassari path.

Can you edit the first post to show the new link? I was using that as a quick way to find the wiki entry...

I applied the updated sassari last night and it does include the files now, but the main menu/skin.xml file still has some inconsistant references. Some of the links to .png files start with "_res/xxxx.png" while others start with "../_reg/xxxx.png".

Should it be this way?

finally, I could spare a few minutes to adjust my icon library from 4:3 to 1:1.
Looks very good on Sassari_red.
I attached the icons (german TV) in case any of you guys can make use of them.

made some minor changes to the red version, (changed icon_overlay.png to match sassari and added overlay to youtube)

uploaded new version, not adding a version number because its not a major change

Dottore, I am having an issue with the font, it appears to be larger on my dev machine than my HTPC, and I have no idea why.
I looked at the fonts in the wondows font viewer, and it seems to be smaller on the HTPC, the difference appears to be that my media center is running XP MCE and my dev machine is XP Pro, have you noticed this phenomena? anyone?

I have done some work skinning the OSD popups, for the guide, since they are fixed this release.

maybe you are missing the correct font on your htpc-machine.

i have attached it. i will post the font on the wiki...since there is no installer in the last version of the skin the font is not installed automatically.

yeah, I have no idea what was going on, but it seems like the font wasnt rendering properly for... ever. but it just changed (at least over remote desktop) and they are rendering the same now... sigh. but I have changed my skins for the TV Guide, weather panel, and OSD to make it look correct (not cut stuff off)

if anyone else notices somewhere that the text is getting cut off let me know

so i'm using the red version, and i just upgraded to the latest gbpvr.. now in my tv guide there is no highlighting of the currently selected item, making it very difficult to navigate.. the same is true with the blue sassari.
with default skin, or contourHC this does not occur, only sassari (so far, i haven't tested many other skins yet)...
