Still going strong... I can't seem to upload the file (too big maybe 1.4MB zipped?). What's the size limit here to upload? I just copied the new vplug.dll over the old one in my 1.3.8 folder and worked fine. Want to just try that first and if you still have problems I'll see what I can do to split the file up or something?

On another couple notes:

- Does a 4x1 Diseqc ver 2.0 switch work on the 102G card for sure? I've seen some posts indicating it works on a similar card, but I have not had any luck so far.

- Is the scanning and Unknown channels showing up problem 100% fixed now? Haven't played with scanning much yet and just wondering what to expect. I think I had a lot of unknowns on 119 last time I tried. Might not have had the latest patch though so still need to try some more when I get time.

Regards,

It may be not the reason for the described crashing ... but ... after a lot of testing - is it possible that some of the PID-Informations that gbpvr should hand out to MD-plugin(s) via mdapifilter are "hardcoded" by mistake???

I get following informations using a magic MD-plugin Big Grin

Name=VUF7
tp_id=7

CA_Typ[0]=5986 (Hex=1762)=Beta Technik (Betacrypt)
ECM[0]=101 (Hex=0065)
EMM[0]=249 (Hex=00F9)
ProviderID[0]=0 (Hex=000000)

Video_pid=160
Audio_pid=161
TeleText_pid=8191
PMT_pid=0=$0000
PCR_pid=160
ECM_PID=101
SID_pid=167=$00A7
AC3_pid=0

--> Name, tp_id, SID_pid, stay the same, no mather which channel I tune to.
With some googling I found out these values are equal to ones of the NA-programme "VUF7" on BEV. My dish is directed to Astra 19.E in europe.

--> Though the ECM-PID is forwarded correct, gbpvr should hand out them all if there are more than one ECM. Maybe it would already help if it would hand out the right PMT-PID ?!

using vplug 1.4.0 ... working stable but dark on some channels because multiple ECM

Great. Hopefully we'll hear halcut got it working also.

Yeah, its limited to 1M. I'm sure he's found it by now anyway. Actually thinking about it, I'd probably perfer not to have multidec plugins available on my site anyway (legalities etc).

No, there is still some 'unknown' channels showing up, but I think I know what the cause is - just have to fine a couple of spare hours to sit down and try to fix it - hopefully some time in the next couple of days.

Aragwal's MDAPI wrapper expects the following values to be passed from GB-PVR: frequency, bandwidth, polarity, videopid, audiopid, ecmpid, caid, providerid

I do hardcode frequency, bandwidth and polarity which arnt known by that bit of code, but I get videopid, audiopid, ecmpid, caid, providerid etc dynamically from the transport stream. The wrapper interface doesnt accept Name, tp_id, SID_pid from my code, which I have and could supply, by have nothing to pass them to.

These are probably a couple of short comings in this MDAPI wrapper.

A workaround for it could be to define the values for caid, ecm and/or provider-id somewhere statical. So it would be possible to hand out the needed values to get all channels lightning....

It WORKSSSSSSSSSSS. Thank you so much guys. some sanity after a long time. I was going crazy abt this. I switched thru all the channels and it has not crashed. I guess I should have asked Ashwin abt this longtime back. I bet he is using 1.4 version hence he didn't c any crashes.

Lets move on to some more testing and make gbpvr THE BEST software for DVB period.

Thanks Sub.

To me it looks like gbpvr takes the first caid and ecm it finds "dynamically". But the first ones or not always the right ones....

Aragwal's API only allows me to pass the one caid and one ecmid.

I'm so attached to the multidec plugins now though, that if we need this and he cant add it in the near future, I'll implement support for calling the multidec API directly.
