reverted to standard twinhan driver 1.2.1.7 (current, but not latest driver)

great quality, not jerky etc etc.
(using vmr9 fixed some problems)
both cards working in dntv live & mce (i can watch bbc1 and channel 4 at the same time using pip)

if both cards are set to the same device, everything works fine,, but only functions as one card (cannot watch and record at the same time although it appears to has a go.)

if it is set as two separate devices, device 2 works perfectly. device 1 appears to work, but doesnt pick up any channels

anything i can do to help? or further information i can provide?

I'm using GBPVR with a twinhan DVB-S card, just installed ver 1.2.2.7 of the driver and it has also changed name.
You better add a new section to bda.ini for that as well. I'm using the lines below.

[Twinhan DVB-S (v1.2.2.4 and up)]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-S
FILTER_TUNER=DTV-DVBS 878 Digital Tuner Filter
FILTER_CAPTURE=DTV-DVBS 878 Digital Capture Filter
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=Output1

thanks for your advice. Both cards are working fine at the same time in the other apps mentioned (i dont want to use them as they arent as good as gbpvr).

1 of the two works fine all the time.

second card appears to work fine, but is not able to tune to channels when mapping to the epg.

when i switch device numbers in setup the other card works fine.

ie its not a problem getting the card to work, but getting two cards of the same type to work simultaneously within gbpvr

after lots of searching if have found the following references which may be a hint to getting them to work, although i'm not quite sure how to use graphedit properly ...

http://forums.dvbowners.com/index.php?showtopic=2182
"I also notice that with these drivers you can have multicard operation, they seem to be able to exist in the same program instance without the major drama's of tunning eg, you can run two VP card filter chains within the same Graphedit. I notice though that it can do this on the first filter chain by unmapping the PSI pids on the demux that is feeding the Transport information filter when the second graph is tunned and it also stops the first Network provider Interface to the TIF preventing you from retuning the first cards filter chain."

Can you try to make two recordings at the same time, so that it tries to use both tuners, then post your GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log file?

ok,

twinhan card 1 device 1 working fine.
twinhan card 2 device 2 when mapping channels to epg finds reasonable signal strength, but no new channels to map.

cant record two channels as it only gives the option of cancelling existing recording

there are errors in the log attached

have now completely reinstalled from scratch (to get rid of mce software)

have only installed cyberlink powerdvd v.6 to use a codec.

same problems as before, primary card fine. Secondary card picks up signal, but will not find channels as before. Incidentally this is a new motherboard from previously (previously was using msi nforce4 diamond)

I'm not in a great position to test it, since I've only got one Twinhan DVB device, but I've made a change in the next release which may help you with this problem.
