I meant the stop button on your remote, or Ctrl-S on your keyboard.

Probably worth staying away from the scan. Manually add the channels for now. Hauppauge have confirmed that only some models of there tuners implement the SignalPresent() API required for automatic FM tuning in Directshow apps (like GB-PVR)... which means that scanning doesnt worth for approximately half the users.

If you'd not pressed the stop button in between, the tuner is probably still (silently) in use, and would result in the "Unable to locate Available FM Tuner" message you mentioned above. Try the steps I described.

I pressed the stop button like you said and tried playing it. Unfortunately still no go. Ah well... I'll keep you guys posted. I'm still getting my feet wet with all the cool features gbpvr has. I just noticed that I had the same problem as codymingus.

Sorry, I dont know then. I've never tried the FM radio with the PVR USB2. It might not work at all.

Then it'll pick the first available one it finds.

Yeah, but if the WinTV PVR USB2 does not do FM, as may be the case from this thread, then how do I force it to use my Avermedia card? I guess I could watch or record something with the WinTV card but that does not seem like a very elegant solution.

It'll pick the first available one it finds that has FM support.

It determines if a device has FM support by looking in the direct.ini file.

Hey cody,

Have you gotten the FM tuner to work yet? The only solution I can think of right now is to make an external link to the radio.exe program.

Read between the lines...change direct.ini to say the USB2 doesnt have FM support.
