Sub,

I don't know how 'available' your servers are, but if you need / want a second webserver to mirror your downloads, I'm happy to allow you to use mine.

All,

I know it won't allow the current 'buggie' version to downloaded, however it offers a backup....

Regards
Richard

Cheers for the offer, but I'm ok with the two servers I've currently got.

Hi Sub:

sub Wrote:I've just had some new hardware arrive, so I'm playing with that instead of the release. Its more fun.

I'll upload the new release within the next couple of days.

I can certainly understand wanting to play with new hardware ;-) but aren't you concerned that GBPVR will lose growth-traction under the current scenario?

Anyone new to the project may have an immediate negative reaction to the project as there is no clear information on the main GBPVR page stating that the download is disabled only TEMPORARILY (they would have to dig through the forums). I worry a lot of people might assume GBPVR is not active and/or well-maintaned.

To counter these erroneous conclusions, I would suggest that when you need to temporarily pull a new version that you relink to an older, "stable" version -- in this case I probably would relink to 0.94.13.

Please let us know if there is anything I (or we, the community) can do to make maintaining the website easier for you.

Thanks for all your work on GBPVR -- it's an awesome product and I hope more and more people come to it!

No, not really. I've already got more than enough users. More users == more people to complain.

Its only been a couple of days. I'll upload a new version later today.

I completely understand.

I hope you ALSO hear all the kudos you get! GBPVR really is a great product.

And I'm putting my money where my mouth is. A Paypal donation to you has just been made.

FYI, Sub is good on his word. GB-PVR is always available on a timely manner... Take for instance Microsoft that was supposed to release IE 7 in early summer--we've gone through Summer, Fall and about to hit Winter and still no sign of IE 7
If you want to know why nPVR is the bomb, ask my wife!

Very true.

I hope newbies and others in need of a stable copy of the software will browse the forum and figure out 0.94.13 is still available for download!

I'm actually a newbie. I was all bumed out when I found that the download was not available. I waited a day or two, then tried it again, still didn't work. Then I got smart and tried Yahoo! cache of gbpvr.com and that lead me to 9413. Thank goodness. What a great program.
