This dog's tongue is hanging out...

Will your SkinPacks work with Appearance Manager?

When will you be posting them?

To answer Old Dogs question about AM support. Both Yes and No. It is easy to make a "skin" for AM and the Theme switching supports AM, but I haven't figured out how I would like an "AM function" to work yet.
The BaseSkin will be able ro run the Collection/Plain Jane series skin files if you want to.

I'm thinking about including the language.xml files with the skin, so the configuration program will be more "complex".
I made the "skin system" because the language suppport in other skins was not good.

BaseSkin is still evolving. But very soon it will be updated.

I think these are excellent goals (except the complex part). If you where willing to focus on language, I believe that working together, we could arrive at an elegant solution.

I have to go to work right now. More later.

David

How about a couple of simple objectives:
 1. Make it easy for the end user to select a language
 2. Make sure that the selected translation is the best that it can be.

-David

P.S. Please replace the Playboy image with a link. We (I, and others?) wouldn't want our employers to get the wrong idea. - Thanks

Yes, easy editing and test of languges is one of the objectives.

Please explain what you mean with:
"We (I, and others?) wouldn't want our employers to get the wrong idea."

I am assuming others share my concern.

Where I live, employers are touchy about what employees view on the Internet. They would find the Playboy image questionable."

As you may be aware, I have spent the past few months focused on Appearance Manager. I am totally ignorant with respect to GBPVR's multilingual support. Where might I find the appropriate information regarding language translation facilities, architecture, and data structures?
