Hmm.. strange... anyway now you have the exact translation - maybe that can help you further on...

I tried GBPVR at work the other day - (had some spare time, and wanted to try a few things).
The disk info showed up nicely - but that was also your latest release of GBPVR.

Have you made any changes regarding this in your latest version?

The disk info was introduced in v0.96.8.

In the v0.96.12 release, it does some slightly different logic if the recording directory starts with \\ to cope with network shares.

OK..
I keep some of my previous recordings on another computer. and I have added a network share (as you probably noticed in config.xml)

I tried removing this share - but it didn't make any difference.

Steyr,
I am of no help other than the fact that I have the same problem. I have not found any help on-line. Most references to it are for developers encountering the problem.

Could the problem be hardware specific? Motherboard, CPU, memory, etc?

See sig for my specifics. My last P3 and P4 did not have the problem.

Reefboy.

Interesting - at least I'm not the only one getting the problem

Quote:Could the problem be hardware specific? Motherboard, CPU, memory, etc?

To be honest - I haven't had anytime to investigate further into this matter - but for now my best guess is that it is hardware related.

An obvious difference between my PC at (tried installing GBPVR, to test and see if it would show up on my PC at work - and it did!) and my HTPC is, that the HDD at work is an ordinary ATA-drive while my HTPC HDD is a SATA-drive.

I don't know it the ATA and SATA interface returns information about HDD size, space left etc. in the same way?

How about your configuration reefboy?
Is your HDD ATA or SATA?

My HTPC which is experiencing the same problem as yours has a PATA and is an AMD.

The one that does work is SATA. However, I believe it used to work on my older computer as well (PIII) which was PATA. Both have been Intel CPU's.

I would find it odd if it was the PATA causing the problem as I would think there would be many more people with the same problem we are having? Maybe motherboard not supporting the SMART (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology)functionality?

Well I noticed my motherboard supports SMART but the default setting is disabled. I tried enabling it with no luck. I knew it was a stretch but was hoping to get it working.

Are there global settings which can be changed for the .NET installation? From what I have googled the RCW problem has everything to do with .NET correct?

I don't see any resolution for this problem yet, and I am having it, and it started sometime after V99.x (don't remember which 99 release) I'd reboot and it would come back. Usually, there was a low disk space happening at the same time. Now, I have upgraded to 1.0.16 and still the problem persists. It happens in both the PVRX2 version and the website info. I was going to include all logs I could find, but the power blipped last night, and I didn't get them zipped up before going to work.

Wow - had forgotten all about this post.

In the meantime I've had my HTPC reformatted, and it works fine for me now.
I haven't replaced any hardware, just performed a clean install.

So IMO it cannot be a hardware issue.

Hope you get your problem solved!

Best of luck

This wasnt a GB-PVR problem, so upgrading to 1.0.16 wasnt going to fix it.

If you google on the error message, you'll find info about fixing the Windows Performance Counters etc.
