You may have windows set to not show file extensions for known file types, in this case .log extension will be hidden from you.

I tried the tuning assistant and although it scans through all the channels I can't see any picture when it's scanning.

I tried playing a DVD through GBPVR and that worked. Don't know if that means anything.

The logs look fine. The fact its not working for you in WinTV makes me think there is something fundamentally wrong with either the drivers or the hardware. I suggest you focus your efforts on trying to get it working with WinTV first, and then move on to GB-PVR.

I tried switching the connection to S-video.
After I did I got this error message.
Wintv does not work at all for me. That's why I'm trying this.
If I don't see any channels in the tuning assistant does that mean the card is dead?

I reckon you've either bought a dud, or the drivers arent installed properly.
