erik,
The whole of the contents of comclean3.bat are:

"c:\program files\mplayer\mencoder" "%~dpn1.mpg" -edl "%~dpn1.edl" -oac copy -ovc copy -of mpeg -o "%~dpn2.mpg"

Where would I put the output_edl=1 parameter? Does it require quotes?

In the comskip.ini file.

Are you able to understand what comclean3.bat does?
It uses two parameters(%1 and %2 in the .bat file), the first is the input filename (enclose in "" when it contains spaces), the second prameter is the output filename.

erik,

The comclean3.bat has neither %1 nor %2 in the file. It does have what I listed previously. That is the entire contents of the comclean3.bat I D/Led form the Comskip site.

Additionally, I made the edit change in the comskip.ini file, ran comskip, edl file was created along with log, logo.txt and txt files. Ran comclean3.bat and here are the results below.
What are the failures about?
Am I supposed to have a file named frameno.avi?
What is "Cannot seek backward in linear streams"? and how can it be fixed?
And many other questions presented by the output below.

Regards, Greg

You need to add a second parameter to the call of comclean3 as the output filename.

Seems mencoder fails to process the audio.

any updates on the optimal condition for commercial detection/deletion?

any step by step guide? so compclean3 is the best out of the 1,2,3,4? i'm a little clueless as to what the batch file does. all i'd like is to plugin a file, and yield the edited results. also, is there an gui application where u can move the bars to select the breakpoints?
