Setting mediamvp services to manual is already good unless you really want to remove it, in which case you can use hcwclear program of hauppauge. This should not affect your gbpvr dongle.bin since it stores it in its own folder. When running, you can check the Task Manager, under processes, you should see a GBPVR service running, this is the MVP server of GBPVR, you can reset this by turning off your MVP, and it will spawn a fresh MVP service. I generally check that it is around 60-70MB in size, anything lower than that actually makes the MVP act up.

On a windowed GBPVR, you can actually just resize the window to whatever size you want, right-click on it and choose toggle-foreground to keep it on top of everything else. Clicking ALT-ENTER will switch to full screen without the window. Click ALT-ENTER to switch back to window mode.

What is the exact name of the GBPVR service? Is it "GB-PVR REcording Service?" (I'm looking in the services tab from the Control Panel.) I thought that was the schedule program to make sure I didn't miss any recordings. Is it both? If you're talking about the process tab from the Windows Task Manager, I have GBPVR.exe, GBPVRTray.exe, and GBPVRRecordingService.exe all running.

It's the GBPVR.exe, this is the MVP Service. This is renewed whenever you press the green button on your remote. You'll see several GBPVR.exe, depending on the number of MVP servers you set in Autostart in Config. GBPVRTray.exe is the little "G" that you see on your system tray. GB-PVR.exe is a instance of GBPVR when you execute it. And GBPVRRecordingService is I would surmise the main recording service of GBPVR. This is the one that people actual stops and restarts.
