I think that you will need to remove ir.exe from the startup folder and replace it with a bat file that does "something like"
start /abovenormal c:\progra~1\pvr\ir.exe I have not tested this out tho.

This won't survive the "Restart IR".
I am trying now to run IR.exe with "above". Seemed to have helped. I wonder what will happen if I rename orig "ir.exe" to "real_ir.exe", and have a small "ir.exe" file (a batch made into EXE by AutoIt), that runs the original ir.exe (with the "above" setting of course).
