I cant think of any times I have had trouble accessing the Wiki or downloads of GBPVR - but I guess when a new release is out that site must take a large bandwidth hit.

Sub: How much bandwidth does the site use a month?
If people are really concerned about having the site up all the time - we could donate some money for another server, or someone out there must have some webhosting that they dont use. - a backup mirror for Subs site??

Thanks

I would be glad to offer hosting or mirror for free for GBPVR. My company has a colocation rack at a very well connected site with 10mb burstable bandwidth. We currently have several other customers we work with hosted there as well, but are no where near using all the bandwidth we have.

Its normally around 350GB per month, but this is looking like a big month - maybe 500GB. The new release download (GBPVR09707.msi) has accounted for 130GB already in just a few days.

Funny you should mention that... http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?p=113627

Thanks for the offer ZaDDaZ - I'll send you a PM to see if it could meet my requirements to replace my current web hosting setup.

Hey sub,

I'm new here, wanted to try out your software, and found this thread once I found your site wasn't responding.

I work at a NOC in Seattle, WA and I definetely have a box I could set you up on. I have absolutely no bandwidth restrictions, and currently the only site hosted on the box is my personal website (which gets hit maybe 3 times a day). The box is a Pentium 4 3.0, 2 GBs of RAM, plenty of HD space for you (no RAID, so backups would be on you) running FC4. I can give you shell access no problem. Try this download for speed tests -- http://www.lazersandshit.com/keepitup.mp3 .

Drop me a line at lee@thehuffman.com if you're interested.
