TS files work in WMP but not in GBPVR. I use it as my default video decoder.

bit of a noob meself and had just decided to update the pc in lounge to a full mpc as always bin used for www acces for mrs and large screen gamin.
I now want the full works and havin purchased a hd tv also would like to play ts files.
media player classic(klite mega codec pack) plays them ok and selecting to associate it with all files gave a boost to gbpvr with use ffdshow selected( by boost i mean allowing more files types to be played)
but still no ts success
have cyberlink pdvd on systems as well, anyone else managed any success? as i would really like to watch my hd movies just by remote

If you install HDTV pump, then you should be able to watch .ts files in GB-PVR. Get it from http://dvbportal.dyn1.de/download.php?fi...-1.0.7.zip

Sorry maybe i should have been bit more descriptive, hdtv pump seems to be for wmp10,
first of all i tend to use media player classic as handles the bulk of differing files i come across Wink and wmp cant handle bugger all wo a lotta work
due to cost issues am using win2k on the mcpc and have got playback of nearly all my music vids, home movies porn etc but still no joy with .ts
i did install hdtv pump but am unsure as to its usefullness as it wasted wmp9 (broke it dead),which i had on systems for testing only
and made no diff to gbpvr
as i said bit of a noob with this stuff can anyone point me to a post givin more info on structure of direct show and how it interacts with gbpvr??, may be helpful
could always just exit gbpvr and use mpc which handles them fine but would rather just use remote control idle get that i am

I'm not sure why you had no luck with it. Thats all I install on all my machines to get .ts playback in GB-PVR. If you have it installed, try to play a .ts file in GB-PVR then zip and attach the gbpvr.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

HDTV Pump is a transport stream push source filter. Its not limited to use in Windows Media Player, and usually works fine in GB-PVR and other directshow apps.. Normally its associated with the .ts file extension. Once installed, directshow the will normally pick this by default when you try to play a .ts file (it also uses the MPEG2 demuliplexer and a video decoder). I'm guessing you've got some extra directshow filters on your machine causing problems.

For some reason the directshow setup on your machine is not automatically selecting HDTV Pump as the file source for .TS files. Usually it would. I'm not really sure what you'd do to fix that. Does reregistering the HDTV Pump filter help?

It might work putting sample.ts in c:\ and trying to play it from there. It might be something to do with the unicode(?) file path.
