scroll down to the web streaming section.

You need the latest version of the enhanced web admin installed and you need VLC on both the server and the client. Open up the 7648 port on the server firewall for streaming.

After some testing with my PVR-500, I found that
OutputType=11 does indeed record using MPEG-1, but at the wrong bitrate and resolution to be VCD-compliant.

Ok, well set the bitrate and resolution correctly then. I've never played around with VCD/SVCD, so I couldnt tell you what these bitrates should be set to.

Yes, thats correct. An SVCD stream is MPEG-2. 12 is the correct stream type for an SVCD. Like you discovered above with the MPEG1 bitrate being incorrect, you'll probably need to set it to use a valid SVCD bitrate.
