Hi sub,

I assume you mean all the *.TXT files in this folder. If so, they are all in the attached zip file.

I am using GBPVR version 0.97.13

I have the following plugins installed, but I had the problem before I installed these:

Weather
Sudoku

Look forward to your reply,

Pete

All of these seem to be attempts to play .dvr-ms files (transcoded to .mpg files). Have you tried playing normal .mpg files?

How fast is your machine?

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but afai can see you are trying to play (recorded) dvr-ms files. So to play them through the mvp it needs to be transcoded on the fly, so you need at least a p4 2000 cpu. You could try raising the mvp transcode preplay delay, it's now only 2 secs I think. Mine is 6 secs.
You should also read this thread it's about a similar problem I think: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...erlink+mux
It might give you new possibilities.
@ sub: sorry if I'm interfering with somethingSad

edit: haha you already beat me

I have just tried the "MUXCHECK" app and it states I do not have any Multiplex filters on my machine and therefore GBPVR will not function correctly.

I am on WinXP SP2

Where do I get a compatible MUX for my PC?

I have just made a recording using WinTV 2000 (urgh), and can stream this to the MVP fine. This recording is in MPEG2 format. So my problem is not with the decoding, it looks like it is to do with when the format being used when the recording is made.

Just browsing the files I have saved, the recording just made via WinTV 2000 is in MPEG format, but the recordings made via GBPVR are showing as a "Microsoft Recorded TV Show".

So now this has been narrowed down, how do I configure the formnat GBPVR uses to save a recording in?

The mux you're using determines what format it records. The only mux included with Windows by default is the Microsoft DVR-MS mux, which produces .dvr-ms files. To record .mpg files, you need to download and install the Cyberlink mux, and select it on the Misc tab of the config app.

Obviously being free software, I'm not in a position to license this and include this with the GB-PVR distribution, so the user has to find it and download it themselves.

What an idiot! - me that is ;0)

I did not register the Cyberlink MPEG decoder. Registered this and streming away.

Thanks SUB - I will be making my donation once I have got GBPVR working 100% on PC and MVP. (Nearly there...)

Thanks,

Pete
