Quote:1. Entering the frequencies instead of channels would probably be simple but I'm not aware of where they can be entered instead of channel numbers
You just enter them where you'd normally enter the channel number. If its larger than 999, then its assumed to be a frequency (ie, 185000000).

The problem with using frequencies is some cards stuff up the audio when you do this. (specifically no nicam stereo)

Quote:2. I tried scanning the NZ cable channels using the Tuning Assistant but it came up with only two or so 'matching' channels, and their frequencies were slightly off anyway. However if it worked for you then I'll have a closer look. From memory, I think the VHF channels I require are 1,2,5 &11, & the UHF are 40, 44, 60 & 64 (one of them is the output from my cable TV box, but the GB-PVR would be mainly used for free to air off my antenna).
Yeah, works fine for me here in Wellington.

Great - the issue is sorted now thanks.

First I replaced the UHF channel numbers with the frequencies and that worked OK. I didn't spend time trying to find if the sound was NICAM or mono though.

Then I had a deeper look at trying the NZ cable channels by using the Tuning Assistant. I hadn't realised there are so many more of them in the VHF range (e.g. antenna channel 11 = cable channel 91) and hadn't been aware of the reason for having antenna and cable options, but tonight I paid more attention to the frequencies it stopped on and confirmed that I can use the cable channels to receive all the VHF and UHF channels. Smile
