Here's another interesting one...
I have been using v-com's systemsuite product for anti virus, firewall, anti spam and has worked great. I upgraded to the latest version (and upgraded my nvidia drivers at the same time), then began to notice a stutter every second when playing back in GBPVR or on WMP. Thought it was the nvidia driver upgrade, so went back to the previous version... same problem.
I decided to disable the firewall software and voila! no stutter...
I guess the moral of the story I am trying to impart is that usually when you get playback issues it is some combination of driver, decoder, hw, memory... etc that we all fight with regularly... but sometimes it is just bad software interfering with good software.
