Ton Wrote:On the same note, I use a AutoIt script from pBS (that I tweaked a little bit)...

It:

- Checks if GBPVR is running, if not, it starts it and ends
- If GBPVR is running, but not the active window, it activates it, then ends
- If GBPVR is running AND active, it send the "F7" key to GBPVR.

I then mapped this to the Green button on the MCE remote (using HIP). I have left GBPVR to handle the "normal" MCE keys, but just remapped the extra keys I wanted (DVD to Video Library, Green button to the script above and Power off (PC) to my little "check recording/MVP before shutdown" batch-file).

For those interested, I have inncluded the script and binary in this zip....

Hi,
Did you use the MCE remote driver with HIP or the builtin Windows XP driver? Reason I ask is I would like to have the Green button start/focus GBPVR but still be able to get the sounds out of bleepbloop. I have noticed that when you use the drivers included with HIP you loose the sound from bleepbloop.

Thanks,
Dave

I dont know if this is relevant, but thought I would let you know. I can turn my laptop on from standby by connecting my mobile phone to activesync through the bluetooth dongle.

But my laptop is always turned on so it doesnt get used. So if somebody wants me to use my phone to turn their pc on, so not to waste the technology then let me know Big Grin

Since the initial question was about starting GBPVR with the Hauppauge remote I thought I'd point people (who may be searching the forums later) to the wiki since it's covered there.

Nevermind! Found it over at the green button!

How the hell do i get it run gbpvrrun tho. Very confusing software! And how do i stop it from running mce when i press the button? Do i have to disable the ms mce remote driver?

Human Interface Programmer (HIP) http://www.byremote.com.au/ .. I have used it before but with the mediacenter replacement drivers (described on the byremote homepage). Problem is that when I use the replacement drivers I loose the sounds from bleepblop and the response time to key presses becomes very slooooow. So does anyone know how to use only the green button with HIP?

It's in the system wide settings mate. Smile

Btw i got the start button mapped to gbpvrun.exe! Just need to map the recorded tv button to recordings in gbpvr? I'm at a loss as to how to do this!

Are you running the standard windows MCE remote driver or the 3rd party driver?

thanks for the response!

Yeah, I am trying to stick with the default driver. I like the sounds with bleepbloop and it doesn't seem to work with HIP.
