You'd have to talk to Hauppauge about that. GB-PVR treats all capture cards the same, but for some reason some PVR150 owners have this problem where their device initially wont produce and audio. I'm guessing their driver have a bug thats not correctly initialising something (maybe for only one of the many types of tuner modules they use).

One of these days Hauppauge may get a driver to work for everyone. until then we're stuck with what we have. It would appear different motherboard chipsets react differently with different drivers. Once you have a working driver - keep it. Not all newer Hauppauge drivers are better, although 24108 would appear to bet better for most??.

if you use the tuning assistant does it show all the channels you can recieve ? it should give you a channel number and the frequency of that channel ?

if you start getting some channels come up in the assistant try changing a couple of freqs to channel numbers and see if they have sound

cheers

Like many others, I have seen this problem, too.

I can't put my finger on it, but I think it is related to watching live TV on the PVR150 and then later, without having restarted the PC, recording something with the PVR150. The recording may not have sound.

Sometimes when I start WinTV2000 I can see thru the window,
there is no TV, only my screensaver. Then I know that something is wrong.
When I reboot, then it is over, very annoying all that booting.

What shall I do ? try an older driver than the version ...108 that I am
having now ?
