I changed the TV D.PNR picture setting to "Strong" and this reduced the severity of the problem but the lines are still there, especially on white/light backgrounds. Interesting that a noise reduction filter has a beneficial effect.
Honestly, that looks like a bad panel and / or input to me. As you've just bought it I'd get them to check it out...

I only get the problem with GBPVR static screens on both svideo and comp output. I do not get it with live TV or videos. I also don't get it with the static Hauppauge dongle load screens or with static menu screens from the sky box.
On the above evidence I can't see me getting a replacement panel.
But it is certainly strange that I seem to be in a crowd of one.
It's like there is a constant pulse pattern being overlaid on the signal but why it goes away with video is a puzzle.
