Yes, but that is only really referring to the output side of things, and you can already get a flawless one with the GB-PVR 'TS mux'.

No, but thats exactly the same as the Cyberlink muxes TS option would give you.

How about "beaming" your TS-mux generated recording via cyberlink muxer to mvp as a transcode thread?

Yes, I've added something like that for the next release. To see how it'll work for you, you could try manually running the GBPVRConvert.exe I included earlier in this thread. This effectively hooks the file through the microsoft demultiplexer, through the cyberlink mux to a temporary program stream file.

I just tried with graphedit the following:
Took an .ts file recorded via TS-mux. Feeded your "GB-PVR-Parser" with it. Put the video and audio streams into cyberlink mux and finaly wrote it to an .mpg file with your "GB-PVR Writer".

Brought me a valid .mpg file. Playback in window works good. The file has half of the size of the .ts file.

Does this mean that i will be able to set TS-mux as bda-mux-filter an watch live-tv on mvp. Will it be at least possible to access the file whilst it get recorded and watch timeshifted??
--> timeshifted viewing of recordings in progress is what i really want to do....

Thats pretty much what GBPVRConvert does.

There is a lot of packaging and extra overheads with transport stream files.

Probably not live tv, but it will at least allow you to playback .ts files you've recorded (or are currently recording).

Here are the facts in numbers:
Two minutes of recording high bitrate transmission got me a 97 MB .ts file. A similar recording via dvr-ms took only 46 MB.
So recording an 2 hour movie takes around 6 GB - acceptable to me.

Isn't watching live-TV on MVP the same as watching an recording in progress with it?
