So everything to do with gbpvr is squashed? The menus, recordings and avi's?

I cannot see how divx could have anything to do with the gbpvr menu's getting messed up. I suspect that the cause is somewhere else.

What about the windows desktop, does this look ok?
What resolution are you running windows at?
it this on a tv or a computer monitor?
do you have a tv AND monitor both connected?

compare the <!-- zoom control --> settings in your config.xml with those in the config.dont.edit.me.xml.

I can understand how its not DIVX related but honestly, I had everything working (for months) then I watched an XVID avi and it was fine, installed the divx update, and watched the same XVID file again, and the problem appeared. It is temporarily patched when I cycle F7 to "letterbox". But I exit, and reopen GBPVR and I'm back to square 1.

The menus are fine. they are being presented correctly, as soon as a recording or a video library file starts, the image, and the surrounding GBPVR layer with the timline, and the show description, are all squashed just like the screenshot on post #1

I run it on a "second monitor" which is a 640x480 TV connected via s-video. But this has worked for months now with no problems.

I'll check the zoom control settings when I get home tonight

check your log file to identify which decoder is being used when you watch a recording.

Also try testing it out on the primary display.

try switching from VMR to overlay in the config.exe.

It sounds like the divx decoder is trying manage the aspect ratio itself, which is interferring with GB-PVR's aspect ratio control. We've seen this before with a couple of MPEG2 decoder, but these luckily had the ability to disable this, allowing GB-PVR to do the aspect ratio control.

I probably wouldnt be able to tell from the logs, but zip and attach them anyway and I'll take a look.
