No there isnt.

If you have broadband and unable to run VNC, I'm happy to connect and take a look. I'd be able to tell pretty quickly if it was going to work or not. (though I'm shutting down for the night in a few minutes)

In conclusion sub took a look with vnc. You can learn a lot watching this guy use graphedit!

In gbpvr 0.99.5, the WinTV-HVR 950 cannot play analog audio as Hauppauge has implemented things differently than with other software pvr devices that gbpvr supports. Will a future version of gbpvr will support it? It's up to sub. Since the analog video quality of the WinTV-HVR 950 is not very good, I suspect sub can assign his precious development time to supporting better devices.

Hauppauge are sending me an HVR900 in my next pile of cards, which is about as close as I get in my part of the world, so I'll look at getting it working when it arrives.
