I don't know if this will be typical, but I finally have both cards working with a remote. I never could get the HVR's remote working, I had it once, but my many installs must have left something amiss.
As I figured it took me a certain installation sequence to get things working. I removed all Hauppauge drivers and software then started by inserting the PVR 250 first. I used the latest drivers on Hauppauge website and the asociated WinTV and IR software. I got the 250 working by itself making sure the remote worked within GBPVR.
Next I inserted the HVR 1600 and only loaded the drivers off of the Hauppage website. I did not run the setup to install to add all the other associated software.
I then brought up GBPVR and verified I had 2 cable and one OTA sources.
Thanks to all for helping me get this operational again. I don't know if this card will be this difficult for everyone, but it sure made me wonder if it would ever work.
Thanks,
Jeff
