Timeshift, how does it work or what am i doing wrong?

thanks for your reply.

Playback of a recording on the server in gbpvr works.
I copied the same recording to the client and did a playback with vlc and Windows Media Player. Works as well.
Playback of the recording on the client in gbpvr works fine too.

And this is what I do not understand. Streaming an existing recording works well, but LiveTV does not.:confused: :confused: :confused:

So in my opinion it can not be a network problem. But I am not an expert in networks.

What do you think?

I have the same problem in File Sharing mode. Switching to streaming fixes it for me. I'd prefer to use File sharing because the FF, RW, etc controls are a lot more responsive.

Too bad that you have the same problem. But lucky you that file sharing still works on your PCs.:o

I'd tried that as well. But its much worse than streaming. In file sharing mode I even do not get a picture. After a while the client crashes. This is why I use streaming.

So if there are people like you out there having the same problem I guess I do not have much chances to fix it.

But just to make sure cause I am not a techy. I do not have to register a demultiplexer on the client. Right? Just need the mpeg encoders (which I tried different once as well (default, Cyberlink, Intervideo).
