Can you try to play a youtube video and then post a picture of lastgraph.grf?
You should be able to play the file in graphedit from lastgraph.grf if things are working correctly. Bring the graph up in graphedit and get a screen snapshot and post the picture.

I use the command line I posted and the nvidea audio decoder and default direct sound device. I know as I changed transcoding options there were ways to get sound that direct show wouldn't play but VLC would.
Btw, are you using win2k or xp?

Youtube does project sound when not using the XCard. Perhaps this is an issue with XCard? As mentioned before when using XCard, regular TV works fine. Just no sound in youtube.

When I play back youtube files from the youtube directly when GBPVR is not open, Windows Media Player and XCard's bundled software will not project any sound from the MPEG file GBPVR rendered.

But when I play back that file GBPVR rendered for me in VLC Media Player without the XCard, the sound and video works as it should.

There is not really much I can suggest. I no longer support XCard, so I dont check new features like this with it.

That said, I cant think of any reason it wouldnt work. Maybe the XCard just doesnt like something about the timestamp's produced by ffmpeg when it converts to a .mpg file.

Well it does seem like you have it isolated to being the Xcard Mpg decoder. You might try the Riva FLV encoder (it does decode to mpg also) and see if that file will play on Xcard or not. That would say there is a way to get FFmpeg to work, since that's what they use.

FYI, I had a lot of trouble with transcoding using VLC resulting in no audio in media player but audio in VLC.

Have you tried taking the FLV and transcoding to an AVI? I think Xcard handles AVI decode.

Did you get this working at all? I have the X-Card and I love the new YouTube plugin but I too don't get any sound Sad
