This is because you addition to bda.ini is incorrect.

Can you run FilterCheck then attach the resulting FilterCheck.log: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

Hi sub

Here's the file (had to change the file extension to .txt before it would upload; hope that's OK).

Strangely that device doesnt list any pins on its BDA filters, which I've never seen before. You sure the device's drivers are in a functioning state? Alternatively this may mean the device is incompatible with GB-PVR.

You could try something like the following, but there is a good chance it wont work because of the pin thing I mentioned.

[TechnoTrend TV Stick]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=USB 2.0 BDA DVB-T Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=USB 2.0 BDA DVB Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

No, I'm not sure the device drivers are in a functioning state (even though Device Manager -> Properties says the device is functioning properly). I suspect that there's something amiss somewhere with TT's BDA application &/or their USB version of it and this is an issue I'm now pursuing, through the supplier, with TechnoTrend - but how would I know, I'm just an ordinary ignoramusSmile

Anyway, I've probably now taken this as far as I can go until I get something more concrete out of TT. Meanwhile, thanks for having a go, and I'm still hoping to become a GBPVR user one day in the not too distant future. It seems a terrific piece of work.

Hello All

Back again - still battling onSmile

I've still had absolutely no help or support out of TechnoTrend (does other peoples' experience with this company reflect mine? It seems you're OK if you speak German but otherwise God help you). But by dint of trial and error I have now got TT's own BDA driver to work, in conjunction with their own PVR software (which is pretty atrocious). I have also (at last, thanks to the help in this Forum) succeeded in installing Cyberlink's MPEG muxer. And the .ini file has been edited as per the Wiki (as reported above).

But when GBPVR scans for digital channels, it only looks at 3 and none of them is the right one - the channel numbers and the frequencies are all too high. Is there any way to direct GBPVR to make it scan the right channel number/frequency?

Take a look at the .ini files in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\BDA\DVB-T. You can create your own, and it'll be listed as an option when you setup your capture source.

I see what you mean but I don't immediately see how I go about the process. Sorry to be dim...

However, I can't actually even have a stab at it at the moment because of another (entirely new, separate) issue. I've been forced to do a 'System Restore' which - because of circumstances I won't bore you with - had to take last Saturday as a restore point, and this removed GBPVR from my PC. Since the restore, I've had endless problems trying to get GBPVR reinstalled and configured again - and I've been totally stymied. I'm attaching screen dumps of three of the messages I've had so far.

(EDIT. Can't get the screen dumps to upload, for some reason; they're .bmp format so I don't know what the problem is. Sorry. Will have another try.)

I've uninstalled and reinstalled both .NET Framework 2 (twice) and GBPVR. It hasn't helped. I don't know what else I can do.

Unless...? MS's 'update' website having prolonged delays, the second time I downloaded a "redestributable" SP" version (still from MS), which shows in 'Add/Remove Programs' as "Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 2". Might this have anything to do with my problem?

(BTW Now that .NET Framework 3 is available, ought that now to be preferred for use in conjunction with GBPVR, or are there issues with it?)

Just create new file with some random name, for example myfrequencies.ini, containing something like:

[TERTYPE]
1=MyCountry
2=MyArea
[DVB]
0=3
1=C30,546000,0,0,8
2=C60,786000,0,0,8
3=C55,746000,0,0,8

Then go into the capture source settings, view the BDA Recording Plugin settings. In there, you should see the new combination you added. ie, set the country to 'MyCountry' and the region to 'MyArea'.

In the lines 1-3 above, the first bit CXX is not used. You'll probably only need to change the frequency (ie, 546000 in the first line).

It only allows .jpg attachments. .bmp files are too big. If everyone was posting .bmp attachments, it'd blow my backup allowances in no time.

.NET 2.0 is what I use, so it remains the officially required version.

The first error there is something about Windows Media Player, so you might need to upgrade the version of this. Are you on Windows 2000? Most Windows 2000 users need upgrade the version of Windows Media Player, and also install DirectX9.
