pvrx2 is for the most recent versions of GB-PVR as it has a brand new DirectX enabeld interface. It is best to use this, ignore gbpvr.exe as it's no longer fully supported by sub (the developer of GB-PVR), and will be phased out soon.

Actually that was just during the screenshots. I chose HVR 1600(analog) only. BTW, is it supposed to show HVR 1600 (ATSC). I saw the GBPVR wiki

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Confi...HDTVSource

it shows in that particular example Fusion HDTV gold-T(ATSC).

In your capture source settings is a channel list. Next to each channel is a channel number. You should only have eight channels enabled in that list and the channel numbers should match the channel numbers shown for channels found by the Tuning Assistant. Is that what you've done?

yes. I have only antenna and trying to set up for OTA HD broadcast. Do I have to install mux like cyberlink or if i have installed the winTV application rom the hauppuage CD that has in built mux.

I tried tuning assitanta nd for some reason it tunes and shows only analog channels. I will try again.

The screen shots you posted on the last page show you've set up an analog capture source rather than the digital capture source, which is why its trying to tune analog channels, and why I advised you to run the Tuning Assistant.

If you're trying to set up OTA HD then you need to delete you capture source and recreate it using the 'BDA Recording Plugin' which is used for all BDA digital devices. After setting up the capture source you need to hit the 'map digital channels to epg channels' button and it'll scan for channels.

Thanks a lot sub. I changed to BDA Recording Plugin and hit the 'map digital channels to epg channels' and it started working. able to watch and record HD at about 50% cpu usage. I only have atholn 1.8GHz with 512+ 256 MB pc 2700 RAM.

how do i set up to watch both analog and digital (HD) with the same tuner card? should i just gbpvr config and set up again with hvr 1600 analog?

Yes, just create another capture source for the analog side of the device.

thanks. i will try it today at home.

when backing up the recorded shows should i burn them using showburner. It seems like i will use up 1 dvd for 1 Hr HD show (after deleting ads). is there a way to convert them to xvid or divx (to a reasonable quality) and then burn them?
