i know the feeling and totally agree
plus i would have thought a nvidia 6200 should be able to play back mpeg fine
it was fine with vmr but this direct3d is crap as far as playing back mpegs
i dont care what anyone says its just not as good
i feel your pain cause i have it aswell even with a card that should be fine

Is there a way to use VMR7 in PVRX2? VMR7 works fine for me but VMR9 is jerky.

No. PVRX2 always uses VMR9 Custom.

Not probs at all.

Open a command prompt (Start - programes - accessories - command prompt) then enter the following without the sppech marks and press enter at the end off each line.

"cd.."
"cd.."
"cd program files"
"cd devnz"
"cd gbpvr"
"pvrx2.exe - fse"

I am hoping someclever so and so will come up with an automated way of doing thiswith a simple mouse click.

You can make a batch file to do that.

To do so:

- create a new textfile with notepad
- type:
cd\
cd program files
cd devnz
cd gbpvr
pvrx2.exe -fse
- save as *filename*.bat on desktop

A double click should now start pvrx2 in FSE mode. It works for me in XP SP2 with latest gbpvr
Software:
- GBPVR v1.1.9 using PVRX2
- NVidea Purevideo Decoder
Hardware:
- 3 X Hauppauge PVR 150
- Media MVP (RGB) on SONY 14" 4:3 CRT
- S-Video on SONY 32" 16:9 CRT
Computer:
- P IV 1.8 Ghz
- 768 MB DDR
- Ati Radeon X1650 Pro Graphics
Drives:
- 40 GB System (XP Pro)
- 300 GB Data (Recordings) on Lacie Firewire
- 160 GB Data (Video) internal
- 120 GB Data (Audio) internal
- 60 GB (Images) internal

Next upgrade: Faster CPU / more mem.

Or you can create a shortcut on your desktop or whereever, then edit its properties and change the "start in" box to add -FSE at the end of the line!

This morning before work I changed the desktop icon to include "C:\Program Files\devnz\PVRX2.exe" -fse It seems it is now FSE. When I get home I will test the video. If it works good I will have that in my startup also and we'll need the PVRX2.exe -fse info in a sticky.
