Clean Install - What do I do?!

in the config you can "start in windowed mode" - uncheck that or press ALT ENTER to get it into full screen

On the 1st tab of the config app there is a "show in windowed" mode option, untick it.

If you want to play around with the appearance of GB-PVR you may also want to try the Community Skin and SkinPlugin.
