Windows XP also has it built in. Right mouse click -> Send To -> Compressed/Zipped Folder.

I'm guessing you are using winrar
If so, it will zip also. right click on the file> add to archive. Select zip.

winrar is nice. Can do rar zip and many many more. Has a free demo that doesn't run out.

I wonder if Vista has the same built in functionality (I hadn't realized that XP had that).

Your machine seems to have the ATSC tuning space missing. I'm not really sure what you'd need to do to fix this. Its something that is normally just there, not needing anything to be installed.

Do you have any idea how it would initially get installed under Vista64? I am going to try reinstalling DirectX tonight and see if that changes anything.

As far as I know its already there from the time you install Vista.

Could it be that I just don't have an ATSC codec installed like HDTVPump would install?
