I'm confused. How do you have your system wired?

Did you split your Cable TV line and connect it to both jacks on the HVR-1600?

Or did you connect your Cable TV to the analog jack, and a separate antenna line to the digital jack?

How far have you gotten? Can you download your EPG data and view your SD lineup in GBPVR?

Did you login to schedules direct and define two separate lineups (one for cable, one for broadcast antenna?)

If your cable company provides the same channels you can pick up with a broadcast antenna, it might be easier to create a single lineup on schedules direct.

For example, you might choose ABC on your cable lineup on Schedules Direct, even though you actually use your antenna as the source for ABC.

You can select the same EPG for both sources, even though the actual connections are different. Just map the selected cable channels in the GBPVR config to the appropriate channels in the EPG guide, and disable any channels that source can't supply.

Ok Tony, sorry yeah I'm dumb. I thought that the Antenna In plug was a Cable out connection or something so I thought I had only one port for bringing in BOTH signals...DURRRR. I'll try this new deal tonight. Now for hooking the digital box to the S-video....you need to have a IR Blaster basically to change the channels on the box for me correct?

I haven't setup schedules direct yet for two guides cause I was waiting for something to click here, but not I see where my fault is...and I think I can most likely handle it from here for setting up the guides.

Thanks for your patience/help!

Remember that the s-video cable doesn't send sound. I assume there must be some other way to transmit the sound - otherwise, why have a s-video option. I just don't know what it is!

Thats why there are those happy little RCA Audio Ports right next to it Smile

I assume we have to do something special for the RCA Audio ports to work with the S-video? God forbid it be easy Big Grin
