hauppaugh hvr-1600 - clear QAM no joy

I too struggled to get the HVR 1600 to receive clear QAM on GBPVR. I could get all the channels in WinTV but not in GBPVR. I was about to return the card, but decided to test it in another part of my house where I didn't have the cable split and bingo! I started getting clear QAM.

I didn't suspect the signal strength because it worked in WinTV.

So it seems like I have everything working -

clear QAM scan using the qam.STD.ini found all the expected clear qam channels for comcast digital
installed the Cyberlink Mpeg Muxer, video displays *for first channel I tune*
audio is working

two capture sources defined - one mapping just the 4 major HD channels as first one, the other for analog as second one

xrecord/priority recording is scheduling shows for the HD source if they are on one of those channels, otherwise using analog source (or dual scheduling lower priority show to analog if higher priority is available on HD source

I am concerned about the video/tuning bit I bolded above though, I will make a different thread as I think that's maybe something else
