Sorry, I dont know anything about HIP so cant help you with this side of things. (though I think it sounds like you're trying to configure HIP as a remote, instead of just the HIPSend part you need - for using the IR Blasters)

I've configured the HIPSend as well, just for the numeric pad as the wiki stated. Is there a way to test is the IR blaster is working? Like using it to control TV or something?

Ok, I'll take your word for it. I know nothing about HIP, so could easily have been wrong.

To test from the command line you can run something like the following to try changing to channel 45.

HIPSend 45

If this works then you're probably ready to set up HIPSend as you ".exe channel changer" in GBPVR.

The HIPSend 45 didn't work, I've re-config the HIP from fresh but ran into a problem while following the wiki. I've posted another thread since it's not related to the topic of this thread anymore.

To close this thread, I had reinstalled the HVR-1800 drivers and download the EVR.zip patch from the sticky. I can watch live TV and actually do recording now. It's on to the next problem of getting the channel changing to work.
