I've got this .hip from the wiki and it seems to control the PVRX2 pretty ok except for changing channel.
When using hipsend/hipwsend, the STB does not change channel.

need to get a few thing straight im still not clear on what you have done
can you answer my questions (all of them )
q1 when you entered the buttons in pic 1 did you learn the thing with command prompt (dos window) they should have xxxxxx.1 they dont seem to have that you may have renamed them though
q2 once you learnt the buttons if you go test ir (pic 2 mid bottom) does the set top box change if not start here and re learn codes you may need to hold button down longer
if you didnt see the point 1 (xxxx.1) at the end when you learnt the hipsend codes
you need to relearn the hipsend into hip alternate input screen
i have pasted the part from the wiki im talking about follow it to the letter
First, open a command prompt window and navigate to the directory where you’ve put HIPSend, then leave it open and go back to HIP.
The commands from HIPSend are usually added in the ‘Alternative Input ' section of HIP.
Go to menu: File/Preferences/Alternative Input
click ‘Add Value’.
Once you have the ‘Get User Input’ window waiting for a new input,
switch back to the command window.
Type ‘hipsend 1’ without the brackets, and press enter.
HIP will catch the code
HIPSend codes are all appended with ‘.1’ at the end.(important it has the .1 at the end of it your one doesnt seem to have that )
Switch back to HIP,
add a description and click the button to add a primary command to the hipsend code.
Instead of entering keystrokes in the Keyboard Editor window,
click the ‘Send IR’ button.
The ‘Add/Edit IR Commands’ window opens, but has an extra button at the top right. Select the IR Code for the ‘1’ that you taught HIP previously, and then click the ‘Select IR’ button.
The IR code will be inserted into the keyboard editor, so press ‘OK’ twice to add the hipsend command to your configuration.
order things happen
press 1 on remote
gbpvr goes to channel 1
hipsend
Hip
alternate input
sends it to codes you learnt from set top box on the ir commands screen
which then transmits it to your ir sender
so work back from the end get the set top box cahnging channels from the test button first
I might have too many different .dll and .hip loaded so I reinstalled HIP and start all over again.
I did the 'Add Value' and use the command prompt with hipsend to get the xxxxx.1.
I'm stuck trying to add a primary command command. Since I've re-installed HIP, my 'Add/Edit IR Commands' window is blank. I remembered having to 'Add Remote' and 'Add IR' which will bring up a window for learning the keys on my MCE remote. Whenever I press a key to learn, say '1', I get an error. I cannot get past this stage now. In my previous tries, learning from my MCE remote will produce something similiar to Pic 2. Are those the expected results from learning the remote? So that after the "Add Value', getting the xxxxx.1 from hipsend, adding 'Primary Command, 'Send IR', I should be picking the corresponding key from the 'Add/Edit IR Command' windows, right?
After the previous learning stage, using the 'Test IR' function, the STB does not response.
I remember having gone through this once before but it's not working now. I do not seem to be getting consistent response with the whole setup.
I really want to thank you for your patience and really hope I can get this working. Appreciate your help.
when you loaded hip did you select mce remote im sure you did thats the only thing i can think off unless for some reason the install failed
uninstall hip again maybe then delete the program files hip folder aswell then restart pc and install again
select MCE on the install drop down list you should be good
once reloaded learn the codes do the test ir if you cant get past this point you cant tell if anything else is going to work so get that going first
then yeah once you have all your (0 through 9 in alternate input)
select xxx.1 >edit value >keyboard icon>send ir> select from learnt ir codes (need to get the test ir working first though)
I believe once you select the mce remote ( running from memory and hopefully not confusing the issue) you then do not need to learn the mce remote, you need to be learning from the remote that you use with the set top box.
If you are learning from the stb remote then you are trying to teach hip to send codes that it already has when you selected mce remote. What you should be trying to do is teach hip the codes that the stb remote uses and then allow the mce remote (with hip) to send these to the ir blaster and hence control the set top box.
If I am way of base and you are already doing this then I apologise it wasn't clear from your posts, and if I am just completely incorrect I am only running on one cup of coffee so far today so I may not be making any sense at all.
