i was using ffdwho but i could not find any tick box which sys use hardware as acceleration so now i switiched to cyber link which has given me that opetion and seletd it now, and no when i downloaded monogram it didnt come with anything just a .ax file and i placed it in c:programfile/devenz/gbpvr

and now i cant get the recording to stop, i was just testing on how to record but even after computer restart still recording, ive right clickd the icon in the task bar to stop recording but naa,

task manager and end the recording service cancel from the tv guide

open notepad
paste:the red text onto it
regsvr32 mmaace.ax

save as monogram.bat
put in the same folder as you have the monogram codec
click on it it should say "dllregisterserver in mmaace.ax succeeded"

if it doesnt then change the name before .ax to what yours is

thnx for that, ive done the following, but i still cant quite this application from the task manager or cant stop recording, restard pc 3 times, changed all the settings and stuff but still no luck, ill leav it for now, will try it tomrow, so what u told me to do above (mmaacd.ax codecand registry of it),u think that will help me get rid of media portal?? i dont realy want to have rubbish software in my pc, just the ones i need the most, thnx

and evrytime i go to update epg a windows comes up that usualy have no and secs to go till the upfating process finish now says "BDA Devices recording, Canceling EPG update" so now im stuck with nothing on the screen, wen i click on PVRX2 and select live tv, the screen goes blank then goes back to main menu screen again where it should go to live tv, and/or the message comes up sayng, stop watching tv. or watch recording tv one,and if i decide to view recorded tv one the sound is out of sync.

yeah you need a few things to playback of dvb-t

a audio decoder monogram
and video decoder -cyberlink dvd8 or 7 if you have the right decoder pack
ffshow may do it aswell but not sure if the hardware decoder will work

yeah then you can remove any software you are not using

great, got the recording stop somehow with tick and few unticks here and there, but cpu usage still above 60% and will try to remove other softwares now thnx for ur help appreciate it a lot

yeah live tv can be a bit of a pain as far as sync issues go
get the recoding part sorted first then look into live it will be just a matter of selecting live preview on the misc tab or similar
i have 4 tuners to avoid watching live tv and adds

by the way dvb-t doesnt really have a good epg source so if thats what you are trying to use then you will have issues
the message you would have been getting was because the dvb-t tuner was been used so the epg update couldnt happen

i use revens epg data but you have to donate for that (i dont mind as its reliable)
but theres a few free epg data options on the wiki

thnx for that, im getting good pic and audio is also sync, well now the cpu is stuck on 50-58% i think its ok, as i will be doing only one thing at a time so dont mind it, well im new to all this tv things, im not expert at all pc's and stuff,but im getting to kno all about this stuff,

depends on the setup and how much off loading you can do to the video card as to how low you can get the cpu usage
you will find its only when you play it back that the cpu is high
