a file i think was mpg1 worked ok

i tried another i think is mpg2 and it worked too- but used different filters.

the one i think is mpg2 used Ligos MPEG Splitter and then went from there. (the mpg1 started with GBPVR parser)

i thought livetv used mpg2, is that right? is the Ligos messing it up?

i unregistered the ligos ax's and now graphedit uses gbpvr parser for that mpg file. I still can't open the livetv cache in graphedit or run live tv from gbpvr.

GB-PVR makes a graph that consists of:

'GB-PVR File Source' connected to 'GB-PVR Parser', with 'Video' pin connected to the MPEG video decoder chosen on playback tab of the config app (or one of the the system's choosing if 'system default' is selected'Wink. The output of the MPEGvideo decoder is connected to the input of VMR7, VMR9 or Overlay Mixer. The parser's 'audio' is connected to the audio decoder selected on playback tab, and then to the selected audio render. Again, these will be of the system's choosing if you select 'system default'.

No other filters are added unless you enable FFDSHOW or Close Captions.

The video decoder can be any of those listed in the config.xml file. I've tried them. They all work. That said, you could have a broken installation on your machine, or have other 'high merit' directshow filters on your machine that are auto inserting thems selfs into the graphs and getting in the way.

I've never tried the Ligos decoder, and I'm not even sure its MPEG2 compatible.
