Black recordings and TV guide problem

No it won't matter after I confirm everything is recording with GBPVR. But there will be times that I won't be able look at the computer directly on the TV and will have to remote in. I've had so many problems getting setup working and was hoping it wasn't another problem. Once I get it hooked up behind the TV I will be getting a minature wireless keyboard with a built-in touchpad and won't have to worry about ti anymore.
